ExperienceAs a tutor, my strengths lie in my qualifications and my experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Autism and Developmental Studies. In addition, I am ELL certified and have earned a teaching certificate. On top of all this, as a teacher, I have had contact with students across a wide range of both levels and subjects. My core principle is that, no matter what the subject, learning can happen. Every student can make progress if they are willing to make an effort, and I enjoy guiding them in this process.I am looking to tutor students in Math, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Literature, Grammar, Geography, and English. I am also offering tutoring sessions to prepare students for the ISEE, ACCUPLACER, STAAR EOC, and CAHSEE exams. The exams are an especially acute source of stress among students these days, and many learners benefit greatly from practice opportunities that take the edge off of testing stress. If I'm not tutoring or teaching, you can find me baking, reading, cooking, exercising, shopping, and spending time with the people closest to me.
