#### Education

B.S. Chemical Engineering - Cornell University, 2001 I was a practicing engineer for 12 years, working for consulting companies to provide environmental services to clients in a wide variety of industries.#### Experience

I became a full-time math and science educator after 12 years' experience as an environmental professional and a lifetime of tutoring on the side. Currently, I work as a high school math and science teacher at a private Classical school in Naperville. I love helping high school, students, college students, and adults understand math, and I can’t wait to help you.I believe that success in learning, especially in math and related fields, comes from a thorough understanding of fundamental principles. I always try to teach in a way that strengthens and builds on these important foundations, which helps students establish a deep knowledge of their subject.

#### Hobbies

I'm an avid reader, I love to travel, and I'm deeply interested in math and science education issues. I'm particularly intrigued by the history of science, and what we can learn from the human stories behind scientific discoveries.#### Preferred Subjects
